bold Traditional Tattoo Sleeves in Vancouver

I create bold and vibrant tattoo sleeves in Vancouver, specializing in classic American traditional style. Whether you’re starting with a half or committing to a full arm sleeve, each design is unique.

I love creating custom tattoo sleeves, or combining different pieces of flash to make something special to you. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about tattoo sleeves, from their history to how to book one with me!

  • A tattoo sleeve is a large-scale tattoo that wraps around the arm—either partially or completely. It’s meant to feel like a full piece, even if it’s built over time. It can be a mural-style layout where everything flows together, or a more classic patchwork sleeve with individual pieces spaced out and layered. Either way, it tells a story, and it takes commitment. Tattoo sleeves are bold, expressive, and one of the coolest ways to showcase traditional tattooing in my opinion:)

  • A half sleeve usually runs from the shoulder to the elbow, or elbow to wrist. A full tattoo sleeve covers the whole arm from shoulder to wrist. Both are rad—half ones are great for starting out or keeping it more subtle, while full arms give us space to go big and build out your vision fully. We’ll chat about what suits your style, your pain tolerance, and your lifestyle.

  • Traditional tattooing uses a timeless color palette—bold reds, deep greens, rich golds, solid black. These colors hold up incredibly well and give traditional tattoos their iconic look. A patchwork tattoo sleeve is made up of smaller, individual pieces that are placed over time, usually with intentional spacing. It’s a classic approach in traditional tattooing, especially when people build their collection from flash. Or we can go full flow, where everything connects and moves together in one massive piece. Either way, I’ll help you create something that feels cohesive and clean.

  • American traditional tattooing goes way back to the early 1900’s; sailors, soldiers, rebellion, and honor. Artists like Sailor Jerry, Bert Grimm, and Amund Dietzel set the foundation with bold black outlines, solid fill colors, and symbolic imagery like panthers, roses, daggers, anchors, and pin-ups. Patchwork tattoo sleeves became popular as collectors would travel from shop to shop, getting one design at a time—each piece telling a story, building a visual diary on their skin. Today, patchwork is still a staple in traditional work, especially for folks who love that flash-book style. I pull from those roots, while putting my own spin on every piece.

  • Tattoo Sleeves aren’t just for one “type” of person. I work with people of all genders, body types, and vibes. Some clients want bold snakes and daggers, others are into florals, eagles, or more playful flash. There’s no one way to wear traditional tattoos. The most important thing is that it feels true to you and looks balanced on your body. My job is to make that happen and have fun doing it!

  • I offer free consultations, no pressure. Whether you're totally ready for a tattoo sleeve or just curious, we’ll chat about your idea, placement, budget, and timeline.
